Macron Lands Record USD108B in Investments at Choose France Summit
Speaking at a press conference held within the storied halls of the Versailles palace, Macron declared the edition a watershed moment for France's economic ambitions.
"A total of 71 new investment projects are being announced, and this edition of Choose France alone will generate a record €93 billion in confirmed investment and create more than 15,000 jobs," he told reporters.
The French leader left little doubt about the scale of the achievement. "This is by far the most successful edition yet, and it is historic," he added.
Macron highlighted that a substantial portion of the capital commitments would be channeled into data center infrastructure and artificial intelligence development, underscoring France's ambition to position itself at the forefront of the global tech race.
The summit's headline announcement was a colossal €45 billion ($52 billion) confirmed pledge from Japanese technology conglomerate SoftBank, with Macron signaling that further commitments are anticipated to push the group's total contribution to €75 billion ($87 billion).
"We have also identified new projects to produce robots in our country and to continue driving innovation," he said, pointing to an expanding industrial agenda beyond the digital sphere.
