Scento Gift Data: Unisex Perfumes Make Up Half of Perfume Decants Ordered in 2026

PARIS, FRANCE, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Scento, the Paris-based online retailer of authentic designer and niche perfume decants, today released gift-season data showing that unisex perfumes made up 50.8 percent of the 107,748 perfume decants ordered on Scento between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2026. Perfumes classed as men's took 29.2 percent and perfumes classed as women's took 20.0 percent.The unisex share grew through the year. It stood at 47.6 percent in January, crossed half in May at 51.9 percent and reached 52.8 percent in September and 51.2 percent in October. It has stayed above 50 percent in every month since May. Among Scento's nine markets with more than 400 orders, France and the Czech Republic led at 55.5 percent and 55.1 percent. Germany and Italy, Scento's two largest markets, sat just below half at 48.8 percent and 49.1 percent.
The three most-ordered unisex perfumes on Scento in 2026 were Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait and Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill. Among men's perfumes, Louis Vuitton Imagination, Creed Aventus and Xerjoff XJ 1861 Naxos led. Among women's perfumes, Amouage Guidance, Amouage Guidance 46 and Parfums de Marly Valaya led.
Scento groups its perfume gift ideas by recipient and by budget, from single travel sprays to sets of 8 ml sprays delivered together in one parcel. Its page of Secret Santa perfume gifts under €20 lists perfumes that each come in a 5 ml or 8 ml spray at €20 or less. Scento gift cards come in amounts from €25 to €150 and can be spent across the whole catalogue.
The figures count paid perfume decants in Scento.com orders placed between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, 2026, Paris time, excluding cancelled orders, free gifts, gift cards and accessories. Each perfume's men's, women's or unisex class is the one shown in Scento's catalogue. Monthly shares use the same rules for each calendar month, with October counted in full.
